Kevin Gianino

Adjunct Professor of Jazz Percussion, Webster University since 1983. A native of St. Louis, Professor Gianino attended STLCC Meramec, the University of Missouri St. Louis, and Webster University. He has served as a faculty member for the International Summer Jazz Academy in Poland and for the Webster Summer Jazz Combo Camp, and the Jim Widner Summer Jazz Camps.

Kevin is in demand as a clinician, adjudicator, and performer on a national basis. He is a member of the Webster Faculty Jazz Ensemble, Brilliant Corners, the Sessions Big Band, and the Hard Bob Heritage Quintet.

Among the numerous artists with whom he has performed are Dianna Krall, Maynard Ferguson, Louie Bellson, Nancy Wilson, Diane Schuur, Michael Buble, Bob Newhart, and Don Rickles. He has toured the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Kevin has made numerous appearances at jazz festivals as adjudicator, guest artist and clinician.

Daryl Whited

Daryl studied percussion at the St. Louis Conservatory of Music from 1979 - 1982. He received his B achelor of Arts Degree in Music from Southeast Missouri State University in 1989. Daryl has been an instructor at Fred Pierce since 1998 and is currently the percussion instructor at Missouri Baptist University. He also works for many high school marching bands in the bi-state area as a drumline clinician. His book Comprehensive Studies for Snare Drum is completed and will be published this year. While teaching, he maintains a busy performance schedule playing with local and national artists. This year Daryl has played with rock and roll hall of fame inductees The Isley Brothers along with Pat Travers, Derek St. Holmes from Ted Nugent, Jeff Carlisi from 38 Special and Fender guitar endorser Greg Koch. Daryl takes music education very seriously but also knows how to make it fun for younger students. Whether you're just getting started or you want to reach a higher level of playing, Daryl is currently accepting students.

Brett Sneller

Brett Sneller has been playing drums for 32 years, 21 years playing professionally in the St. Louis area. Brett has played in numerous boards over this 20 year span. His music background also includes piano and trumpet. Brett studied music under Bertram Ward at Florissant Valley Community College. Brett was the drum teacher at McMurray Music for seven years until movving to Fred Pierce's Studio Drum Shop in May of 2008. His lesson studio is outfitted with professional equipment and he supplies all the lesson materials. He has Monday thru Thursday and Saturday lesson times available.

steve bunck

Steve Bunck studied percussion and drum set at Eastern Illinois University under Johnnie Lee Lane. Before joining the staff at Fred Pierce's, Steve taught at Drum Headquarters from 1994 until the store's closing in 2011. Steve has performed with a wide variety of musical acts including alternative rock with The Sun Sawed In Half, jazz with Jim Manley's Wild, Cool and Swingin',and latin jazz funk with Vargas Swing. Steve has been the drummer for the local cover band Trixie Delight since 2004. Steve teaches all levels of students, and loves to incorporate reading, rudiments and musicality into his lessons.
